Hatch a Lovely Chick™ is a 28-day local educational experience and equipment rental/service. We deliver, set up, support you through the hatch window, and return for pickup—so you can focus on learning, observation, and the excitement of hatch week.
This is a local experience and service. No shipping.
How It Works
Day 1: We deliver and set up your complete hatching system and show you the simple daily routine.
Days 1–21: You follow the quick daily checklist (beginner-friendly).
Hatch Window: We guide you through hatch week with support and troubleshooting.
Days 21–28: You learn early brooder care basics using the included kit and checklist.
Day 28: We return for final pickup of all rental equipment and program materials, or it is mailed back depending on availability.

⚠️ IMPORTANT DELIVERY NOTICE:
If you are located more than 60 miles from our location: The booking system will not allow you to complete your purchase online. This is because you will need a custom invoice that includes an additional $150 traveling fee (added to the program price). Frequently Asked Questions
What if the eggs don't hatch?
While hatching is a natural process with variables, we use high-quality fertile eggs and provide expert guidance throughout. Our detailed checklist and support help maximize hatch success. In the rare event of issues, we're here to troubleshoot and help you understand what happened—it's all part of the learning experience.
What happens to the chicks after the program ends?
At the end of the 28-day program, the chicks return with us when we pick up the equipment. If you'd like to keep the chicks or have other arrangements in mind, just let us know and we can discuss options!
How much time does this really take each day?
Very little! The daily routine takes just 5-10 minutes—checking temperature, adding water, and turning eggs (until day 18). We provide a simple checklist so you know exactly what to do. It's designed to fit easily into busy family or classroom schedules.
Do I need any prior experience with chickens or hatching?
Not at all! This program is designed for complete beginners. We set everything up, provide step-by-step instructions, and support you throughout the entire process. If you can follow a simple checklist, you can do this!
When should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred start date, especially during peak seasons (spring and fall). However, we'll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when possible.
Is this safe for young children?
Yes! With proper supervision, this is a wonderful hands-on learning experience for children of all ages. We provide safety guidelines and age-appropriate activities. The incubator stays closed during incubation, and we teach gentle handling techniques for when the chicks hatch.
